ABOUT THE TUFFEST STUFF CT REGISTRY REVIEW SOLUTION WEBINAR

THE TUFFEST STUFF CT REGISTRY REVIEW SOLUTION is designed specifically for two groups of RT’s. Group 1 is composed of those Radiologic Technologists who are preparing for success on the ARRT CT Registry Examination. Group 2 is composed of those Radiologic Technologists who are seeking 16 Category A continuing education credits by completing a superior quality Computed Tomography (CT) educational program.

THE TUFFEST STUFF CT REGISTRY REVIEW SOLUTION is approved for 16 category A CE credits and satisfies the structured educational requirement stipulated by the ARRT as of January 1, 2016. Successful completion of the SEMINAR/WEBINAR satisfies the ARRT didactic requirement to sit for the CT Registry Examination. For those RT’s seeking CE credits specifically in CT, this course satisfies all state and national requirements.

The SEMINAR/WEBINAR is composed of four equal sections. Each section is approved for 4 category A CE credits for a presentation total of 16 category A CE credits. WEBINAR participants are strongly encouraged to download the presentation slides as provided in order to maximize their learning experience. Participants are also required to pass each respective Section CE examination with a minimum percentage of 75% in order to be awarded CE credit. Each participant is allowed 3 opportunities to pass each Section CE examination. Participants who fail to achieve 75% on their 3rd attempt will be afforded the opportunity to repeat the appropriate section(s) of the SEMINAR/WEBINAR at a reduced rate.

Successful completion of the 4 section WEBINAR series entitles the participant to access the extensive educational materials as part of their normal registration.

    EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

    Upon completion of the WEBINAR, each participant should be able to:
  • Demonstrate excellent patient care and handling skills regarding CT procedures including allergy history, cardiac and renal conditions;
  • Adjust individual CT scan parameters in order to minimize patient dose while maximizing image quality;
  • Identify appropriately acquired high quality images versus image artifacts, their causes and resolutions;
  • Define and describe spatial, contrast and temporal resolution and their impact on image quality and patient dose;
  • Define and describe Multi-planar Reconstruction, its utility and major advantages and disadvantages;
  • Identify and explain 10 methodologies to reduce CT dose;
  • Describe why pediatric CT dose profiles are different from adults & explain pediatric dose reduction techniques;
  • Define and describe the components of the CT Imaging Chain and their major functions regarding the production of CT images;
  • Accurately label the most important anatomical structures on CT images including MSK, Neurological, Vascular, Thoracic, Abdominal and Pelvic structures;
  • Explain prospective and retrospective gating as it applies to the minimization of motion in CT imaging;
  • Evaluate practice CT registry questions with skill and comprehension.
